OpenDemocracy interviews Anna Terrón on the European asylum system
Monday, 26 September, 2016

26 September 2016. Anna Terrón, Instrategies director, has been interviewed on the European asylum system by Cameron Thibos, managing editor of Mediterranean Journeys in Hope, an OpenDemocracy initiative that seeks to humanise the debates on migration, putting human rights back to the focus. Anna Terrón’s discourse focused on explaining the steps that should be taken in for the European Union to walk towards a more reasonable asylum system. She stated that “National governments must cede some control over immigration to EU-level institutions if migrants are ever to be received and dealt with humanely”.

We are facing an European crisis, not a refugee crisis. More European Union should be the answer.
