AFROEQUALITY Final Conference in Athens

Gemma Pinyol-Jiménez, Head of Migration Policies at Instrategies, attended the final conference of the AFROEQUALITY EU Project, held on 15 May 2026 in Athens under the title “Yes, our colour makes us ‘different’: Research, actions and dissemination of knowledge and experiences to address racism, hate speech and Afrophobia.” The conference brought together researchers, policymakers, civil society organisations, and community representatives to exchange experiences and discuss policy recommendations aimed at tackling racism, hate speech, and Afrophobia across Europe. The event also highlighted the importance of inclusion, anti-racism strategies, and the empowerment of Afrodiasporic communities within European policymaking and public discourse.
